Looking great is one thing, but feeling strong, balanced and healthy is the foundation of every training protocol I institute with my clients. Unfortunately ‘functionality’ has become a buzz word in the fitness industry prompting a tidal wave of fads aimed at more ‘natural’ and ‘functional’ movements.
Well guess what? Any trainer with their salt has been using functional movements for years! Any exercise that promotes strength improvements throughout the full range of motion in a safe way is a ‘functional’ move. Making clients do five different things at once whilst balancing on a bosa ball may look good on instagram but it’s about as functional as a ride in the back of an ambulance.

One of the reasons my clients thankfully remain so consistent and loyal is because I tell them the truth, and I put them on a training program that works. If an exercise looks cool but it’s not as effective for your specific goals then guess what? We ain’t doing it. My clients pay me to get them the best results in the shortest amount of time. We do not deviate from that mission.
